“Tulips and Grand Piano”
Out of the blue, a very special music student gave me tulips.

While he played Beethoven’s “Fur Elise” for me,
I propped the flowers on my beautiful black Steinway C piano,
then later moved the vase to a nearby table.

With the help of my camera,
I tried to capture the timeless beauty of tulips,
and later, in the August heat, create this painting.
